Two Ways to Stay
Free-Range Dog Boarding in Chattanooga
Play Wash Stay’s free-range boarding program gives qualified daycare dogs plenty of freedom, activity, and time with their familiar pack.
During the day, boarding dogs play in daycare with their regular group. At night, they settle in with their boarding pack while an onsite Ruff Ranger looks after them. For dogs who are comfortable around other dogs, it’s a social, home-like alternative to traditional kennel boarding.
To participate in free-range boarding, dogs must:
- Be at least six months old
- Complete and pass a behavioral assessment
- Complete five daycare visits before their first overnight stay
- Attend daycare at least once per week
- Be comfortable resting and self-regulating around other dogs
- Show no space reactivity or resource guarding
Free-range boarding isn’t the right fit for every dog. Our team will consider your dog’s behavior, comfort, and experience with the daycare pack before recommending it.
Luxury Kennel Boarding
Some dogs love social play but rest best in their own private space. Others simply aren’t comfortable in a free-range overnight setting. Our luxury kennels give those dogs a cozy and more private place to stay.
Dogs staying in a luxury kennel still receive daycare during their stay and plenty of attention from our team, along with their own space to rest overnight. We’ll also complete a behavioral assessment to get to know your dog and plan the safest, most comfortable stay.

Getting Started
How to Become a New Play Wash Stay Boarding Client
All dogs must complete our new-client process before boarding. Because onboarding and assessment availability can take up to two weeks, we recommend getting started early.
1. Tell Us About Your Dog
Start with our short inquiry form and tell us a little about you and your dog.
2. Complete Your Dog’s Profile
If Play Wash Stay looks like a good fit for your dog, we’ll email you the next steps for setting up your account on Paw Partner, completing the intake form, and sending us current vaccination records.
3. Schedule a Behavioral Assessment
Once we’ve reviewed everything, we’ll send instructions for scheduling your dog’s assessment and paying the $40 assessment retainer.
4. Prepare for Boarding
After the assessment, we’ll recommend free-range or luxury kennel boarding and walk you through other steps your dog needs before their stay.
